Day 4 of 28 Days of Short Stories (and micro stories)

As told by Jake Johnstone: [includes rough draft picture]

“Static Addict Matt Rick”

Nothing brought to this particular Thursday in Pemberbury, MD should be mentioned…

Although, Forpscythe News 71 thought differently about this particular story as told by news reporter Matthew Penbrook…

A story within a Story news segment: “Matthew Penbrook here on the side of a RISE TO THE HEAVENS COFFEE shop fearing for my life reporting what gruesome horror story I just witnessed. A man bit his hand, then the main barista at RISE TO THE HEAVENS COFFEE shop when electricity bolts went flying, and still are everywhere!! As waiting on a helicopter to pick me up … some man zappin’ electricity bolts at living dead creatures trying to break the local coffee shop down with brute force!! Unlike anything, I have ever seen!! ‘Static Addict Matt Rick’ is all I heard screaming from 20-40 people screaming from surrounding apartment windows as I’m being brought inside the helicopter to safety away from the hordes of undead creatures.

“This has been Matthew Penbrook… stay safe indoors Pemberbury!!”

Day 3 of 28 days of Short Stories (and micro short stories)

Paletee Tumberton: The Story of The Lost Traveler

I never knew real organic feelings. “A kick to tubby! A punch to paletee!!”……As I look upon the Stoney gravel black pavement I walk on with beat-up reeboks, a pale-white-tee shirt, and black sweatpants; the rainy blizzard of hail snow pours down from the sky. A walk home in the rain…

A walk home in pain. A lost one stuck on a road kicking toads in the road. I lost my parents in a fire…they died…I stayed…where the fire was located when started by the local teenagers that constantly picked on me day by day…this Wednesday it was right when I walked home…

A cell phone wasn’t existent in those ’80s days… A cop happened to be driving by as the fire got worse and worse… As I was right there… A blank stare is all I remember…

Day 2 of the 28 days of micro and short stories…

The following story is loosely based off of the tenth season of American Horror Story: … how Hugh lost his gh.

(Hu)[Man] – : Hugh Manstedder was born on the 5th of October, 1945 alone not sure why. Hugh lost his parents to the aliens, although this he did not see. The aliens that came and took his parents right after birth also killed everyone else in the hospital. In an area outside of Cave-in-rock, Illinois this was happening. Right at the exact moment when the police and fire trucks arrived on the scene, the mysterious aliens from outer space were gone. It was just Hugh Manstedder taken by the police. The music of choice was always classical Beethoven and Mozart. Hugh left the policeman’s care at the fill station 76 gas station when thumping occurred in his head 66 times in repetition and in way less than 66 seconds. The recollection was 6 seconds, 66 times, in less than 66 seconds Hugh told me. Damned, he said he felt in the spring of 2021.

My name is Samuel Iwhell, and I don’t know Hugh anymore. The Hugh I used to know looks the same, but metallic. Almost barbaric, but alien-like.

DAY 1 of 28 days of Short Stories

The following is the first of 28 short stories…

“Monday ‘Manic’ Marvin” : The days of the past are all Marvin cherishes isn’t false. This is the truth in Marvin’s brain from day to day. Second to Second. Minute to minute. Hour to hour. Marvin Pulote Jackson from Saint Tribune, Minnesota. On the particular day of March Madness March the 13th, 2026 Marvin lost his marbles in more ways than one could ponder to understand. The lockdown happened after the fourth visit in some corona-26 virus. The unthinkable happens when Marvin first forgot his face mask, second his covid shot after shot after shot. The first shot was warranted and delivered fantastically. All the future after the first in March of 2021 he just let go by the waist side after his closest relative died…just after his fiance Patty Wonderton.

A knife somehow after Marvin cut his carrots in the morning for his snack went right in his pocket… a pocket knife to cut carrots? Weird, but Marvin did clean this knife. He just started doing really peculiar stuff after his soon wife Patty died from Parkinson’s disease; not corona-virus. The time he left for work at the meatpacking slaughterhouse of killing chickens was 2:30 for the 4-12 midnight shift. Chickenhouse; as they call them now. Many chickens ran loose on this particular Monday the 13th when Marvin tested his luck losing it on a nearby Tailgater. Not the ways of wonder. The ways of plunder are what Marvin dealt with. Continuously checking his checks that his mouth could not cash, but he attempted anyway. Marvin robbed all of his righteous mindset to no good place. Attempts at great were not good at all. The slamming of breaks dealt with his eyes to pop out and roll next to a black cat…Oh…the Manic Marvin Monday…

“The Worm”

The following short-story as told by Jake Johnstone is loosely based off of “Chapelwaite”; currently a series on EPIXnow! :

” As from the soul of a dark one. The dark one just wrote. Writing he did 2028. No one understood he was there. Under a tree in Romania. Deep in the mountains under this tree this creature wrote in a book one would think could not hold such resiliency from this hand. A hand with nails as long as ten years’ in the details. The sharpness of thee. These nails from Tee. Tee was his name. How he kept this book from falling apart since he was turned into an undead creature from 1902 just years after a burn down near some Transylvania land of red rivers around a castle are only his torment. The torment he writes about everyday. Sun up to sun down he writes. Only breaks for the occasional feeding of the blood. The blood that drives him. That blood that keeps him alive but no longer within the living. An undead creature with a stature to just stay… Stay Tee does everyday with wonders but worries only of tortures…prays for no more. The hope never dies even though the human in him did… Tee Congler was the new nosferatu’s name…”

“Poe” The Cask of Amontillado BOOK-READING

The following was originally recorded via my voice memo on my iPhone but somehow after recording it I captured none of my voice. Nonetheless it is now in video form via my YouTube…

Apologies for the broken link above. This is the right one I assure you!

NEXT book reading shows me wearing prescription sunglasses for the ambience of the bright day/edgar allen poe short story.
